The Reverend Edward J. Peck, Assisting Priest (retired)
Fr. Ed came to St. John’s upon his retirement from active ministry in 2006, having served as the Rector of St. Andrew’s, Shippensburg since 1999. Born in Cincinnati, he graduated from Juniata College and the Philadelphia Divinity School. He served parishes in Lancaster, Waynesboro, and York and then in the Diocese of New Jersey at Grace Church, Merchantville.
Fr. Ed served as a Chaplain in the United States Army Reserve from 1977 to 1997. In “retirement” he has served as interim priest in several churches, including St. Andrew’s, York, St. Michael’s Lutheran, Harrisburg, and St. Michael and All Angels, Middleton.
In diocesan ministry, he served on the Standing Committee, as Chaplain and on the Board of the Episcopal Home in Shippensburg, chair of the Committee on High Education and Department of Youth, and the Commission on Ministry.
